In a recent episode of the “Unlikely” podcast, WWE legend Steve Austin, widely recognized as “Stone Cold,” shared his thoughts on John Cena’s surprising character change. The iconic wrestler turned on Cody Rhodes in a shocking twist during the most recent WWE Elimination Chamber event in Toronto.

The highlights of the podcast are as follows:

Discussing whether John Cena’s character ever needed such twist, Austin elaborated, “Absolutely, you know, at some point, it has to happen. Finally, it did. I believe it’s quite interesting.”

On the necessity of this significant shift, he continued, “Indeed, I think this was required. I’m intrigued to know if he turned villain, or is he’s shifting towards a more heroic character? Because, certainly, I appreciated his act, you know. Hence, it would be captivating to observe their next move. Notably, as we’re journeying towards WrestleMania, things are accelerating. Besides, John has accomplished much outside the wrestling arena…and stuff like that, so, who would have predicted this? The timing was perfect, and it created quite a buzz. To be honest, I thought this character change was fascinating. I’m keen to see how it unfolds. And John, being an intelligent and wonderful guy, I’m excited to see how things progress.”
