‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, the famous wrestler, has showered Hollywood actor Adam Sandler with praises, identifying him as the kindest individual he has had the luck to acquaint within the Hollywood industry.
In a recent episode of the viral podcast “Too Much Access”, Austin shed some light on his experiences with the actor well-loved for his role in Billy Madison, expressing great admiration for his good natured personality. Austin was quoted as saying,
“I always tell people, that’s the nicest guy I ever met in Hollywood. I didn’t do Hollywood, I lay low in Marina Del Rey, in the vicinity of Venice, hence not getting involved in the Hollywood parties or the glitzy hill events. None of that was my scene.”
He went on to mention the distinct disparity between actors and sportsmen. “I was an athlete. Those actors are a little different. I don’t mean that in a derogatory way, I just mean they’re different than an athlete, they’re wired different, or I’m wired differently than they are.”
Elaborating further about Sandler, he said, “Adam Sandler was the most humorous and kindest individual I’ve ever collaborated with. Every instance I got the opportunity to work with him was a pleasure. He’s a real gentleman, a true gem.”
Both Austin and Sandler were co-stars in the 2005 film The Youngest Yard and also appeared together in Grown Ups 2, where Austin brought to life the character of the infamous bully from Sandler’s childhood.
It has also been confirmed that Adam Sandler will be resuming his iconic role as Happy Gilmore in the upcoming sequel of the hit comedy film produced by Netflix, that will also feature a performance by All Elite Wrestling’s MJF.
