WWE continues to be ‘leaders’ in several areas of business.
The company’s Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon was a guest speaker as part of ‘Leaders Week’ and discussed several topics, most notably WWE’s burgeoning partnership with NBCU’s ‘Peacock’ streaming service.
”WWE always wants to be ahead of the curve. Not so far ahead of the curve that people don’t understand what we’re doing and certainly not behind, so we were one of the first to launch our direct to consumer property in the WWE Network over seven years ago and we’re one of the first to make the move to license our content to Peacock. Working with our best in-class partners NBCU, who have been our partners for over 30 years and this enables us to also not have to be competitive in the technology streaming environment and allows us to really do what we do best and that’s content production and storytelling.”
.@WWE shifted its digital distribution strategy earlier this year by migrating approx. 1.5 million users from their OTT service [WWE Network] to @peacockTV.
