Stephanie McMahon Named As Honoree At March Of Dimes Luncheon

Stephanie McMahon is set to be honored by the March Of Dimes organization.
According to a new press release, Stephanie McMahon is one of the honorees at the 38th Annual March Of Dimes luncheon on Tuesday, November 30. McMahon is being recognized for her various contributions over the years, including her work with the WWE “Women’s Evolution.”
Former New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, Olympic medalist Allyson Felix, and Big Ten Conference Commissioner Kevin Warren are also set to be honored at the luncheon, hosted by the March Of Dimes’ Greater New York/New Jersey Market.

New York, November 12, 2021 – Longtime New York Rangers goaltending great Henrik Lundqvist, and 11-time Olympic medalist Allyson Felix, will be honored as the Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year by the March of Dimes Greater New York/New Jersey Market during its 38th Annual Sports Luncheon on Tuesday, November 30. Stephanie McMahon, Chief Brand Officer of WWE, and Kevin Warren, Commissioner of the Big Ten Conference, will be honored with the Corporate Leadership and Sports Leadership Awards, respectively. The sold-out sponsor only event, which will be held at Cipriani 42nd St. after being held virtually for the first time in 2020, brings together leaders in the sports business community each year to help the March of Dimes achieve its goal of ending preventable premature births, maternal health risks and the equity gap that moms and babies experience.
Since 1984, the luncheon has raised nearly $18M to support March of Dimes. Past honorees include NFL legend Joe Namath, baseball icons Mickey Mantle and Cal Ripken, Jr., Olympic champions Simone Biles and Lindsay Vonn, NHL Hall of Famer Mark Messier, tennis luminaries Andre Agassi and Venus Williams, basketball greats Patrick Ewing and Lisa Leslie, the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, and many leaders of the major sports leagues and media companies. In 2020, Two-Time Super Bowl MVP, Former New York Giants Quarterback and March of Dimes NY/NJ Board of Directors Member Eli Manning was honored with the March of Dimes Champion Award.
Henrik Lundqvist recently retired as one of the top goaltenders in NHL history. He played his entire 15 NHL seasons for the New York Rangers and is the team’s all-time leader in wins (459) and shutouts (64). Prior to winning the Vezina trophy as the league’s top goaltender in 2012, he was nominated in each of his first three seasons for the prestigious honor. A dominating rookie season in 2005 earned him the nickname “King Henrik.” One year later, during the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, he led his native Sweden to their second Olympic ice hockey gold medal. Henrik is the only goaltender in NHL history to record 30 wins in each of his first seven seasons and was named the Rangers Most Valuable Player eight times. Before joining the Rangers as the 205th overall pick in the 2000 NHL draft, Henrik played for Frotunda HC in the Swedish Elitserien. During his years in Sweden, he was the league’s top goaltender. After his remarkable NHL career came to a close, Henrik joined Madison Square Garden Network for in studio coverage of Rangers games beginning with the 2021-2022 NHL season.
At the Tokyo Olympic Games this past summer, Allyson Felix earned a gold and bronze medal making her the most decorated woman in Olympic track and field history and the most decorated American track and field athlete in Olympic history, having earned 11 total medals from five consecutive Olympic Games. She also holds the title of the most decorated athlete, male or female, in World Championships history with 18 career medals. Allyson has also found passions off the track which she believes are her true calling. Allyson has accomplished so much, but her greatest accomplishment and her greatest love is her daughter, Camryn, who reminds her every day that she can never stop fighting for what is right in this world. As a March of Dimes’ Celebrity Advocate Council member, she is sharing her experiences both as a mother and an athlete who overcame barriers put before her for being a mother. She’s calling for change everywhere from maternal employment policies to the way we talk about and respond to the black maternal health crisis. She was included in Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2020 and 2021.
As Chief Brand Officer, Stephanie McMahon is responsible for ensuring WWE’s global brand strength and growth across all lines of business. Stephanie oversees WWE’s Brand, Marketing, Community Relations and Pop Culture strategies as well as WWE’s Global Sales and Partnerships Division. Among her many contributions, she has been the driving force behind WWE’s Women’s Evolution, which has given female performers an equal share of the spotlight both in and out of the ring. Prior to being named Chief Brand Officer in 2013, Stephanie was Executive Vice President, Creative and was the first woman to lead WWE’s Creative Writing, Digital Media, Talent Relations, Talent Brand Management and Live Events businesses. Kevin Warren began his tenure on January 2, 2020, as only the sixth Big Ten Conference Commissioner in its 126-year history. Warren became the first African American Commissioner in history to lead an Autonomy Five conference. In less than two years, he has championed a series of groundbreaking efforts that focus on mental health and wellness, social justice and equality, and gender equity. These efforts, along with other strategic and business initiatives have helped place the Big Ten Conference in a position of strength during the most challenging and transformational period in the history of college athletics. Prior to joining the Big Ten Conference, Warren was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Minnesota Vikings, making him the first African American COO in NFL history. He spent 21 seasons in the NFL with the Vikings (15), Detroit Lions (2), and St. Louis Rams (4), where he was an integral part of the Rams organization when they won Super Bowl XXXIV.
