Freddie Prinze Jr., initially skeptical of The Wyatt Sicks storyline, is beginning to appreciate it. On a recent installment of his “Wrestling With Freddie” podcast, he commended Bo Dallas’ contribution to the plot.
Prinze Jr. confided, “In the past, I wasn’t the greatest Uncle Howdy fan. But I think I am now. The edited VHS segments with the psychiatric sessions, blended with Bo and Uncle Howdy, have revealed that Bo has acting and speaking chops.”
He went on to add, “The reason they presented Bo in Adam Pearce’s office isn’t clear yet… Nonetheless, he does possess acting skills and has carried this performance well. I can’t tell if he can do it all, or if it’s due to the fact that it’s very personal to him and that’s why it’s excellent. Time will be the judge. If I have critiqued before when it didn’t feel right, I also need to express when it does.”
Steph De Lander, formerly known as Persia Pirotta of WWE NXT, was a recent guest on the “Women’s Wrestling Talk” podcast. She offered comments on WWE’s newfound openness to partnering with other organizations.
Highlights from her interview featured the following:
Regarding WWE partnering with TNA and others, De Lander said: “I think it’s an exciting time in wrestling because this level of open cross-promotion with other companies by WWE is unprecedented. Debatably, it’s this new WWE crossover buzz that’s aiding TNA’s tremendous success. Conversely, WWE stands to gain from being able to use TNA’s biggest stars on its own shows.”
Speaking of potentially showing up on NXT TV, she mentioned, “It would depend on the circumstances. I’m more concerned with exploring interesting story beats than just having a cool match with someone.”
As for her possible plot lines in NXT, she said, “If you’d watched my stint in WWE, you’d remember that it ended in the midst of a romantic storyline. I also left an ongoing tag team operation with my best friend Indi Hartwell. These factors lend themselves to intriguing potential stories.”
