Florida may not be the only state aiming at hosting wrestling events for fans in the near future. Oklahoma governor Kevin Stitt is also trying to bring in pro wrestling, MMA, and boxing to the state.

The main reason is to generate more revenue so the only way this would work is if fans would be allowed and willing to travel. Stitt is focusing on these sports mainly because the four mainstream sports are unionized and not currently taking place.

The Wrestling Observer reports that there would be much less scrutiny and backlash due to this. Oklahoma and Florida are now two states vying to be the first to open shows up for live audiences. The hope is that everyone will flock to these areas because the possibility of watching these events live in the rest of the country would be impossible due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

What do you think of states battling to host pro wrestling for fans first? Would you be willing to travel to another state just for the opportunity to see the shows live? Let us know in the comments below.
