The anticipated return of the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC, set to take place on December 14th at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York, comes with some notable changes.
Originally, the December 14th NBC airing planned to showcase the climactic showdown between Seth “Freakin’” Rollins and “Big” Bronson Reed. But due to an injury sidelining Reed, the powers that be have tapped Drew McIntyre for an unexpected substitution. He is primed to initiate a fresh narrative with Sami Zayn, and their bout will now be part of the main event card.
Interestingly, Roman Reigns’ presence had been advertised on the Nassau Coliseum website up until very recently. However, modifications have been made to the site to echo the revised NBC broadcast schedule, and Reigns can no longer be found enlisted. Along the same lines, Reigns has been excluded from the WWE.com talent roster for this weekend’s program.
Although Seth Rollins and Bianca Belair were initially promoted at the local level, there have been no further updates or mentions so far.
Elsewhere on the card, Koko B. Ware and Tito Santana have made it known across their social media profiles that they are set to be a part of the spectacle.
The WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will be broadcasted live from 8:00 to 10:00 PM Eastern and will also be available for live streaming on Peacock, the WWE Network, and WWE’s YouTube channel for a select international audience.
Furthermore, the live-action at Nassau Coliseum is slated to commence at 7:30 PM, suggesting that untelevised matches, known as dark matches, are highly likely to occur both before and after the primary televised card.
