WWE Monday Night RAW made a revelation that Kairi Sane has sustained injuries following an assault by the Pure Fusion Collective. Consequently, she will be replaced in the upcoming preliminary Triple Threat match of the tournament, aimed at honoring the first WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
In a tweet by WWE & AEW Rumors, they shared: “PFC attacked Kairi Sane unexpectedly and it’s likely that her hand is fractured. #WWERaw.”
Stepping in for Kairi Sane, we see Iyo Sky taking on the mantle. Surprisingly, she emerges victorious against Natalya and Alba Fyre. This victory propels her into the semifinals, where she is set to face Lyra Valkyria. Speculations suggest that this match might transpire during the December 30th episode of RAW, featuring Zoey Stark and Dakota Kai as well. Despite the assumption that the tournament finals may fall on January 6, 2025, coinciding with the RAW’s Netflix debut, there hasn’t been an official confirmation yet. Given WWE’s agenda to make the debut as big as possible though, this speculation holds merit.
