Ronda Rousey’s hiatus from WWE will not last long after she dropped the SmackDown Women’s Title to Charlotte Flair on the December 30th edition of SmackDown.

WWE thought about doing Rousey vs. Becky Lynch prior to changing it to Rousey protecting the SmackDown Women’s Title versus Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39. Strategies altered for a 3rd time.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the business is preparing to do Rousey and Shayna Baszler vs. IYO SKY and Dakota Kai for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 39.

It’s still uncertain when Rousey will go back to WWE TELEVISION.
