Speculation Grows As Carlito’s Return To WWE Appears Imminent

Several weeks after Carlito’s appearance in Orlando, Florida, where he was reportedly involved with WWE, there have been further indications that the company is planning to feature him more prominently. Fans have been expressing their excitement and suggesting that Carlito should have a more significant role in WWE following his surprise appearance at Backlash 2023, which marked his first appearance since the Royal Rumble 2021.

During the San Juan Street Fight at Backlash 2023, Carlito joined forces with the LWO and Savio Vega to even the odds against Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio, who had interfered in the match between Damian Priest and Bad Bunny. This move further fueled speculation about Carlito’s involvement with WWE.

According to a report from Dave Meltzer, who discussed the matter on Wrestling Observer Radio, Carlito recently withdrew from an independent show scheduled for next month. Furthermore, Devon Nicholson, a wrestling personality, claimed that Carlito personally informed him of his signing with WWE to make a comeback. He stated,

“Well, the only thing that I know is he had an independent show on July 15 for Devon Nicholson in Canada, and he called him up to cancel and said that he has signed with WWE. So… perhaps he has signed with WWE, it wouldn’t surprise me. He got that big pop in Puerto Rico so maybe he’s back. We’ll have to wait and see. Maybe they have a storyline for him. That’s what Devon Nicholson said today.”
