Sonny Kiss Replaces Joey Janela In AEW Eliminator Tournament Due To COVID-19 Precautions

Joey Janela wrestled AJ Gray, who has since tested positive for COVID-19, this past weekend and has been pulled from tonight’s AEW Dynamite episode as a result.
“AEW and Joey Janela learned today that he had exposure to a known COVID-19 positive person at an independent show,” the promotion announced. “For that reason we are pulling him until such time as he is cleared to return consistent with our protocols.”
Replacing Janela will be his tag partner Sonny Kiss, who will now face Kenny Omega in the first round of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament.
