In the modern world, where social media significantly influences our everyday lives and individuals are completely engrossed in amassing new followers, fans are equally passionate about following their beloved celebrities and trying to dig up some gossip.

Professional wrestling is no exception to this trend, and there are situations where news emerges from somebody noticing who is following (or in this specific case, ceasing to follow) others. Whether it’s a couple breaking up by deleting their pictures together or a company initiating to follow a wrestler before rumours of them signing, where there are murmurs, there’s usually substance.

The latest buzz is that, people have noticed that Roman Reigns has stopped following Solo Sikoa on Instagram. Let’s cue the suspenseful music:

This has been reported by numerous platforms who have noticed this recent shift. I make no claims of being the one to unveil this news. Kudos to whoever that brought light to this first. Below is an example of one of the graphics that highlights this:

Of course, this could mean a multitude of things. It’s possible that Roman’s finger simply slipped. It could also mean that they are in an actual dispute behind the scenes (how intriguing!). However, the most plausible explanation is that the WWE’s social media team is stirring things up and sowing the seeds for a potential feud between the two.

Ever since WrestleMania XL, Reigns has been entirely missing in action. He hasn’t even communicated with Paul Heyman. In his absence, Solo Sikoa has stepped forward and assumed control over The Bloodline as its acting Tribal Chief, inducting new members into the group and causing quite a ruckus.

In light of his recent onslaught on Cody Rhodes at WWE Clash at the Castle in Scotland, it’s plausible to presume that Sikoa and his version of The Bloodline, are set to be catapulted into the title contention. A WWE Championship match featuring Sikoa against Rhodes could be on the cards for Money in the Bank.

Given that SummerSlam is merely weeks away post MITB, it’s highly probable that we will witness Reigns re-enter the ring within the next month or so. He might have his sights set on Rhodes for a SummerSlam rematch. Another conceivable scenario is a six-man tag match (Rhodes, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens versus Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) at MITB, paving way for a Sikoa versus Rhodes battle at SummerSlam, which could mark Reigns’ comeback. Alternatively, Reigns could plot his return by taking on Sikoa, instead of The American Nightmare.
