Will Ospreay says he was down to perform some stunt work in the Assassin’s Creed sequel that never happened. The original film was released in 2016 and starred Michael Fassbender.

Speaking with IGN, Ospreay revealed that his Assassin’s Creed-inspired looks ended up with photos of him in NJPW being used to promote the movie’s release there. He said,

“I was in New Japan when the Assassin’s Creed film came out. They wanted to use some of my photos from New Japan to help advertise the movie coming over! They said if there was going to be an Assassin’s Creed 2, I might be able to do some stunt work in it and I got excited. Nothing ever came of it but I’d love to be a part of Assassin’s Creed.”

Skye Blue says Joey Janela was the person who landed her a job with All Elite Wrestling.

Skye, who has become a big part of AEW’s women’s division in recent months, recently appeared on the “Kicking Out” podcast to comment on Janela reaching out to her so she could get her foot in the door. She said,

“I was doing the indies for a while, and Joey Janela actually reached out to me and was like, ‘Hey, here’s Shawn Dean’s phone number. Go text Shawn Dean.’ I was like, what? I kind of didn’t believe it was real because I was already going to be in 2020 during COVID, during the pandemic.”

She continued, “So I was already going to be in Tampa because I was doing a GCW show. I texted Shawn Dean and he was like, yeah, come in and do extra work in Jacksonville. So I was an extra in 2020. Then I was also an extra in 2021, the All Out week. Then that was the week that I was in the Casino Battle Royal and then it was all history from there.”

Will Ospreay, a professional wrestler, recently revealed that he had the opportunity to perform stunt work in a sequel to the movie “Assassin’s Creed.” The original film, starring Michael Fassbender, was released in 2016 and gained a significant following among fans of the popular video game franchise.

During an interview with IGN, Ospreay shared that his Assassin’s Creed-inspired looks led to his photos from his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) being used to promote the movie’s release in Japan. He expressed his excitement at the possibility of being involved in a potential sequel, stating that he would love to be a part of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Unfortunately, nothing came of the opportunity, and the sequel never materialized. Nevertheless, Ospreay’s interest in performing stunt work for the franchise highlights his passion for both wrestling and acting. It also demonstrates the crossover appeal between the worlds of professional wrestling and Hollywood.

In another wrestling-related news, Skye Blue, a rising star in All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) women’s division, recently revealed that it was Joey Janela who helped her secure a job with the promotion. Skye, who had been working on the independent wrestling circuit for some time, appeared on the “Kicking Out” podcast to discuss her journey into AEW.

According to Skye, Janela reached out to her and provided her with Shawn Dean’s phone number, encouraging her to contact him. Initially skeptical, Skye couldn’t believe that such an opportunity was presenting itself during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, she decided to take a chance and texted Shawn Dean.

Dean welcomed Skye to come and do extra work in Jacksonville, Florida, where AEW is based. Skye took up the offer and became an extra for AEW in 2020. She continued to work as an extra throughout 2021, including during the All Out week, which turned out to be a turning point in her career.

During that week, Skye participated in the Casino Battle Royal, a multi-woman match that showcased her skills and potential. Her impressive performance caught the attention of AEW officials, leading to her being signed as a regular member of the roster. From that moment on, Skye’s career in AEW took off, and she has become an integral part of the promotion’s women’s division.

Both Will Ospreay and Skye Blue’s stories highlight the importance of seizing opportunities and making connections within the wrestling industry. Whether it’s through showcasing their talents or receiving support from established wrestlers, these individuals have managed to carve out successful careers in a highly competitive field. Their experiences serve as inspiration for aspiring wrestlers and demonstrate the diverse paths one can take to achieve their dreams in professional wrestling.
