Next month, Tiffany Stratton is due to go head-to-head with Charlotte Flair in a bid to defend her WWE Women’s Title at WrestleMania 41.

Recently, the pair participated in an interview segment on SmackDown as part of the build-up to their hotly anticipated title bout at WrestleMania. Notably, most spectators surmised that veteran Flair appeared to outshine the less experienced Stratton.

According to Fightful, several individuals behind the scenes within the WWE organization perceived the segment as a pivotal moment for Stratton – a “sink-or-swim” situation. Despite this, however, WWE officials did not view Stratton’s performance as unsuccessful.

A report clarifies, “Did Charlotte deviate from the script during the remote interview with Tiffany? What was the reaction backstage to the heated exchange? Indeed, there were those who felt, ‘Wow, Charlotte really took charge in that scenario.’ Yet, others believed that Tiffany was thrust into a make-or-break situation, and they didn’t consider that she had failed. It was simply that Charlotte Flair is a more proficient player, and there’s nothing wrong with that. As for deviating from the script, I don’t think she did. It did seem as though she was well prepared for everything that Tiffany had to say and had a response for each point. The level of spontaneity is uncertain, but many were of the opinion that, ‘Yeah, Charlotte really shone in that segment, and Tiffany did not.’ But in my opinion, that’s how it should be, and hats off to Ring The Bell for posing this question.”
