After this week’s episode of WWE NXT, Trick Williams expressed his enthusiasm for how Joe Hendry’s theme song speaks the truth with the lyrics, “Say his name and he appears”.
During the night’s broadcast, Williams found himself in need of a fellow wrestler for a tag-team match. He mentioned Hendry during an interview and, true to his theme song, the TNA athlete appeared to join him in the evening’s main event.
Williams and Hendry delighted in their victory in a WWE ‘Digital Exclusive’. The former NXT World Champion, Williams expressed his gratitude for Hendry stepping in to tag-team with him. He stated,
“It felt good to get a little payback on Spears and Ethan Page today. But trust and believe, I will not rest until I get my NXT Championship back. Shout-out to Joe Hendry. All I had to do was say his name.”
Rumors of Hendry’s participation in WWE NXT started swirling during the final moments of NXT: Heatwave. Reports suggest that Hendry will be a central figure in the merging narratives of NXT and TNA in the future.
