Welcome to another edition of eWrestlingNews’s Question of the Day!
In the upcoming AEW Collision that will be pre-recorded tonight after Dynamite, a TNT Championship match scheduled for the Slam Dunk Saturday segment will see Daniel Garcia and Adam Cole face off, with no one allowed at ringside.
Our question for today is: “Should Cole be crowned the new TNT Champion? Why or why not?”

As for my personal opinion…
I would definitely support Adam Cole clinching the TNT title. However, does it make sense for him to dethrone Daniel Garcia at this point? My answer would be no.
Honestly, I don’t frequently watch Collision. Given that Garcia wrestles frequently there and not as much on Dynamite, I feel I am missing out on his reign as champion. Even though I accept my part in that, based on my observations, and more significantly, the lack of reaction from the consistently tuned-in audience, Garcia’s reign has not been particularly impressive. It gives me an impression that Garcia’s belt was more of an impulse decision by Tony Khan rather than having any major plans for him.
Although I’m aware that he’s had the title for a while, it seems as though his reign has not left a lasting impact. This might sound like just the right reason to let Cole seize the championship and bring a change, but I would argue that Cole is not the best fit for this title.
I believe someone else should defeat Garcia. If asked to choose, I would pick Ricochet. Given he might not clinch the International/Continental Championship – considering the potential merger – winning a title would maintain his heel character’s momentum.
As for Cole, winning the trios titles along with Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong seems a more logical path. The current holders, Death Riders, aren’t creating as much interest as anticipated given their focus on Jon Moxley and his unremarkable world title reign. Offering the gold to someone else could make this section of the division more compelling, as opposed to being treated as an afterthought.
