Shinsuke Nakamura Returns, LA Knight In Action On SmackDown Next Week

On Friday night’s episode of SmackDown, WWE aired a video package hyping up Shinsuke Nakamura’s return to the blue brand next week. Next week will mark Nakamura’s first appearance on WWE television in over five months.

Nakamura, granted special permission by WWE, did appear at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s “The New Year” pay-per-view event on January 1, facing The Great Muta in the latter’s final match in the promotion as part of his retirement tour. Muta was subsequently inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023 by Ric Flair.

Meanwhile, next week’s SmackDown will also see LA Knight go one-on-one against Xavier Woods in a rematch, as he hopes to avenge his humiliating loss a few weeks ago.

Friday Night SmackDown airs live every week at 8/7c on FOX.
