The 2024 edition of the Owen Hart Cup Tournament, set to broadcast on AEW Dynamite, on June 12, 2024, has welcomed two additional names in its lineup.
The first to join the ring is New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s titan Shingo Takagi. Renowned as the ‘Japanese Dragon’, Takagi retains the NEVER Openweight Championship title for the fourth year running. His previous accolades include being a former KOPW champion, NEVER Openweight 6-Man tag team champion, IWGP junior heavyweight tag team champion, and IWGP world heavyweight champion. He had also clinched the world tag team champion title at Ring of Honor.

The second contestant to throw his hat into the ring for the tournament is PAC. Having not appeared in previous tournaments, PAC aims to hold this victorious title, breaking a series of unsuccessful campaigns. PAC, also known as The Bastard, looks at this tournament as a chance at redemption, reminiscent of fellow wrestler Bryan Danielson’s journey.
