A plea for more chances for the female division in AEW has come forward from Kris Statlander.
In a recent dialogue with ComicBook, the discussion revolved around AEW considering the proposition of a Women’s Continental Classic tournament.
Her response was straightforwardly encouraging, “Having more chances as a woman on the women’s roster is always going to be my desire. Absolutely any and every opportunity is acceptable. The Continental Classic is an innovative concept, it’s something fresh. It’s been ages since we had a Battle Royal. We need more tournaments, more Gauntlets, literally anything. We excel whenever we get the chance to truly shine – I aim to be part of every conceivable opportunity.”
A new journey has been embarked on by Shelton Benjamin upon his alliance with AEW. Benjamin, reuniting with MVP and Bobby Lashley, made a striking appearance during AEW Fright Night Dynamite.
The trio is known for their bond as The Hurt Syndicate and has repeatedly expressed their interest in a reunion, following their previous partnership as The Hurt Business in WWE.
Sharing his views on the resurgence of The Hurt Syndicate in AEW, Benjamin conversed with “Inside The Ropes” recently.
The conversation brought out his excitement and anticipation,“Getting this back together has been our plan since the original squad had to disband in a fairly distant world. This is an experience that fans never really had a chance to witness, nor did we get to experience this camaraderie with a live audience. This was always on our wishlist. The reaction from fans has exceeded our expectations. Initially, I had some reservations about fan response, but it’s been remarkably positive for the most part. We’ve felt nothing but love from the fans – they’ve wholeheartedly accepted our group. We look forward to returning this appreciation by giving it our all in the ring – with top-notch performances, impactful and engaging dialogues – we are genuinely grateful.”
