Continuing to secure victories in AEW, Shelton Benjamin, also known as the Gold Standard, has numerous potential opponents in his sights.
In the recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Benjamin shared his experiences in AEW thus far, also revealing his future opponent wish list, remarking,
“AEW is overflowing with exceptional talents. My first thought, since I think the guy is amazing, is Will Ospreay. I would be excited to compete with Moxley… I didn’t even realize we’ve shared a locker room until this point. Swerve is someone I’ve wanted to challenge, MJF… Hobbs.”
Benjamin showed enthusiasm not just in taking on new competitors but also in reigniting old rivalries from his WWE days. He went on to say,
“There are even some old, familiar faces, obviously, I’ve always felt that Christian and I have explosive matches, obviously Edge and I have had dynamite matches. There’s just an abundance of talent. As I begin listing out the names, there’s a multitude of first-time opportunities there… it’s an extensive list, but those are just the highlights, there are more names on that list.”
With a 2-1 victory record in AEW so far, Benjamin has managed to score decisive victories over fellow WWE stars Lio Rush and Sammy Guevara, although he lost against Swerve Strickland.
Currently, Shelton Benjamin is teaming up with MVP and Bobby Lashley in the Hurt Business. The All Mighty made his debut in the recent episode of Dynamite.
