It’s all about getting back to the states, according to Shazza McKenzie.
The Australian independent wrestling star recently spoke with Spencer Love of Love Wrestling and discussed how she feels that in order to achieve her in-ring goals, she needs to make it back to America post-pandemic.
“My goal is just to get back to America. It doesn’t matter how. I’m not particular how. I don’t care. I just want to be able to be in America and wrestle on either the American independent scene or ideally on a television show. That’d be fantastic. But you know, I also know that that’s a one in a million thing, but just to be able to go there. I feel like before this pandemic was happening I was really just there. But, now that I’ve had like 18 months to think about being just there, I’m ready. That’s my main goal.”
McKenzie would then delve into who she’d like to wrestle once she arrives back in the country.
“The two women that I want to wrestle the absolute most [are] Serena Deeb and Deonna Purrazzo. I just think they’re both phenomenal wrestlers and like the last time I was in America, the idea of wrestling them just wasn’t a possibility. One was a coach and one was in NXT. Now, there’s just – those were the two free agents when they became free agents that I was like, ‘oh my god, this is an option? There’s like the slightest possibility someone will let me wrestle these two? That’s crazy. So that those are my two like dream matches.”
