This week on WWE RAW, The Golden Role Models faced Asuka and Shayna Baszler. Before the match, Bayley offered to have her WWE SummerSlam match with Asuka before Banks’ title defense so the Boss could retain her title without breaking a sweat. Baszler had a short message, too; she called dibs on facing the WWE RAW Women’s Champion after WWE SummerSlam. Asuka and Baszler put aside their differences to take on the Golden Role Models, but the champions’ chemistry gave them the edge early on.

Asuka rallied with a Codebreaker, but Nia Jax punched through the plexiglass and attacked Baszler. Jax and Baszler brawled at ringside and the fight spilled out of the arena. Asuka was left by herself, but she held her own.

Bayley gained the upper hand, and the champions used their advantage to ground Asuka. The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion tried to rally, and Baszler’s return to the ring evened the odds. Baszler tagged in and instantly took control of the match. Bayley tagged Banks behind Baszler’s back, and the veteran tag-team maneuver nearly won the match for the champions. But Baszler persevered and floored Bayley with a knee to the face. The match broke down into chaos and Asuka locked Banks in her signature submission. Baszler made Bayley tap out to the Kirifuda Clutch to win the match.
