On going to NXT UK after recovering from a hand injury: “It was right after I came off a hand injury. I just got cleared and we had been begging them to go over to the UK. Five to ten years from now, when you watch NXT UK, it’s going to be one of those, ‘We should have appreciated it while we had it.’ The talent that came from there was insane. Tyler Bate, Butch, Gunther, Gallus, Pretty Deadly, Imperium. Once I came off the injury, we got the green light that we were going to go to NXT UK, be there for a couple of weeks, get to train in their facility, which I was looking forward to the most because I really respect the British style of wrestling.”

On who came up with the idea to have them win the tag titles: “The tag champs at the time, Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter, they were holding the belts, and Ashton Smith got hurt. I think it was Shawn Michaels’ idea to put the tag belts on us and bring them over here and do something with them, give it some recognition, to go back over there and defend them. Of course, as we all know, that didn’t happen. Worlds Collide came at the time and it was the perfect time to unify those tag titles.”
