Shawn Michaels reacting to Bully Ray’s assertion that Williams is ‘missing one thing’: “[Bully Ray & I] might slightly disagree when it comes to ‘he’s missing that one thing.’ I can’t precisely pin down if he’s lacking one component, but this Devil’s Playground match he’s about to have with Ethan Page, Ethan is an industry veteran. Indeed, Trick has competed in a cage match and a last man standing match before, but not against an opponent of Ethan Page’s stature. Ethan is bound to really challenge him in a manner the preceding two didn’t.”
On Paige’s potential influence on Williams at Halloween Havoc: “It’s occasionally tricky to get the audience to comprehend, I’m not referencing ECW hardcore, but there comes a time when a performer needs to be pushed to the edge, from a hardcore standpoint. Questions like ‘How tough and unyielding are you? How ready are you to risk your health out of affection and zeal for this career?’ For me, these will be examined at Halloween Havoc. There are some aspects you can’t alter, such as time and reps. That is something beyond Trick’s control. Though he’s been exposed to a wide range of experiences in his three-year career. He’s accomplished numerous tasks. To do several things once or twice is tolerable, but until you’ve mastered them all, there will be times when it feels like something is lacking.”
