JD McDonagh, a member of The Judgment Day in OTT Wrestling, is making concerted efforts to bring a WWE pay-per-view event to Ireland, as he announced at the 10th anniversary show of OTT Wrestling.
McDonagh takes every opportunity to mention the idea, recalling the great audiences WWE has had in France this year, Puerto Rico a few years ago, and Germany. He believes the passionate Irish fans could guarantee an outstanding crowd. He is quoted saying, “Any chance I get, I bring it up… the Irish fans are pretty insane. So we’re trying, we’re trying to get it going.”
McDonagh went on to highlight the increasing Irish representation in WWE, especially on the Raw roster. He hopes the city of Dublin would take the initiative to negotiate with WWE since it has become a major attraction in the city. He further added: “I know there’s a few Irish on the Raw roster…But Dublin needs to make a play for WWE these days…so hopefully, the right people can get talking to WWE and make it happen.”
Meanwhile, Shawn Michaels, a WWE legend, anticipates the upcoming Giulia vs. Roxanne Perez NXT Women’s Championship match as a potential “match for the ages.” He praised both the wrestlers and particularly Roxanne Perez, whom he mentioned being in top form as the NXT Women’s Champion. In his words, “I think she’s [Perez] got her work cut out for her… I think she’s doing incredible work right now, so it’s gonna be a match for the ages.”
