Wrestling icon Shawn Michaels has expressed his support for Joe Hendry, stating in a recent media conference promoting NXT Heatwave that the possibility for more joint projects and partnerships with Hendry remains a possibility in the future.
When questioned about Hendry, Michaels, also known as The Heartbreak Kid, had the following to say:
“Obviously, it’s clear when you see it. This was my initial meeting with Joe. Even for me, who is not the most proficient with social media, I regularly come across his content. He is undoubtedly a promising talent. In the short time I’ve interacted with him, I’ve developed a genuine liking for him. Nothing would satisfy me more than to get the chance to work with Joe Hendry in the upcoming days. I believe he would reciprocate. He’s an individual who aims to evolve and ascend. Currently, nothing more to add. He’s a vibrant young man with a promising future. I appreciate his effort to carve his own path. This speaks volumes about him. He does not confine himself to traditional norms and I admire the intelligence behind such an approach.” (Credit to Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)
Interestingly, the appearances of talent from TNA Wrestling on WWE NXT has been noticeably reduced in the recent weeks. Several WWE superstars have emerged during the recordings for future Impact episodes, but as the attention revolves around NXT Heatwave, the Tuesday night crossover events are momentarily at a standstill. The timeline for when TNA wrestlers will show up again in NXT or other WWE arenas is still unclear. Nevertheless, hearing that a wrestler as beloved as Hendry is not completely disregarded, but temporarily put on standby, is heartening.
