Shane McMahon Thanked Matt Riddle For Not Knocking Out Goldberg At SummerSlam
Matt Riddle and Bill Golberg infamously had a backstage confrontation at SummerSlam 2019, and the former UFC fighter gained praise from a McMahon due to his actions.
Appearing on WWE’s The Bump, Riddle discussed the confrontation and revealed that Shane McMahon was nearby. After he watched the pair exchange words, McMahon came up to Riddle and thanked him for “not swinging on Goldberg.”
Riddle goes on to state that he would’ve never done a fight backstage saying that it’s “not a stallion move.” He’d rather beat him in front of millions instead.
