During the most recent episode of the “Busted Open After Dark” podcast on Wednesday, former professional wrestler Bully Ray made a revelation. He mentioned that he had reached out to Shane McMahon via text following news that McMahon had held a meeting with AEW President, Tony Khan. This confidential rendezvous reportedly took place at a private airstrip in Arlington, Texas earlier this week.
It was revealed that the purpose of their clandestine meeting was to discuss potential future collaborations and that Khan had been receptive to initiating dialogue with Shane for quite some time.
During the course of the podcast, Ray disclosed a statement that Shane McMahon had dispatched to him, which he was now at liberty to make public. McMahon’s words were as follows,
“Tony and I were brought together by a mutual acquaintance, and we had an engaging conversation. We spoke about a multitude of things, predominantly based around our common admiration for the wrestling world and the joys and hurdles of operating within a family business. I extended my congratulations to him on reaching the five-year milestone with AEW and expressed eagerness towards observing how he will advance the business in the days to come.”
