During his recent guesting on the “WrestleMobs” podcast, Shane Haste shared his insights about his experience with AEW and interaction with Tony Khan. He also talked about the feedback he received from “TK”.
Below are some key takeaways from his time on the podcast:
Speaking about his professional wrestling experience with AEW, Haste said, “I really enjoyed being a part of AEW. It was an exhilarating journey. Similarities with WWE are striking, given that they are both international wrestling television shows. But there’s more room for individuality and trust in AEW. Khan has enormous trust in his wrestlers, giving them the freedom to just be themselves. Regardless of the outcomes, Khan is incredibly supportive.” Evaluating himself, he humorously added, “I’m not quite sure if this is a good measure of my performance [laughs] but it certainly boosts my confidence.”
As for the feedback he received from Tony Khan, Haste recounted, “Following one of my matches, I felt doubtful of my performance. But Khan reassured me saying, ‘That was great, thank you very much.’ It made me think, ‘Maybe I am good.’ His assurance was instrumental in boosting my confidence, and confidence plays a pivotal role in wrestling. You really need that muscle of self-belief, not just inside the ring, but outside too.” Regarding his overall experience, he added, “For me, the real charm of wrestling is the backstage camaraderie.”
During the podcast, Haste also talked about TMDK, his contract status, WWE Raw debut, Retribution, and more. Here is the podcast for your reference: [insert embedded content]
