The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that several AEW talents are not expected to appear at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II due to their working relationship with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

NJPW has a working relationship with CMLL, the rival of AAA, and consequently, NJPW talents cannot work with AAA wrestlers.

The report suggests that the list would likely include luchadors, namely, Bandido, Vikingo, RUSH, Komander, Lucha Bros, Andrade, and Dralisitico.

The rule only seems to apply to Mexican-born talent, as Kenny Omega, FTR, and Sammy Guevara have worked both NJPW and AAA events in the past.

Andrade El Idolo wasn’t allowed to compete at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last year. El Idolo is reportedly close to returning to action, as he was advertised for the debut of AEW Collision. Andrade also booked himself for a match on June 15 in Mexico.
