Tammy “Sunny” Sytch is currently serving a considerable 17-year sentence in prison after a deadly DUI car accident, but she is still encountering multiple lawsuits.
An individual lawsuit, originally slated for trial, has now reached a resolution. Jane Olivova, who was a passenger in a different vehicle at the time of the accident which took place in April 2022, had identified Geico Insurance as a defendant in the case.
Olivova brought forth a notice on June 19th, signifying that the conflict had now been settled, and subsequently registered for voluntary dismissal. The legal case remains in a pending state, awaiting closure pending the formal sign-off from a judge.
Originally, Olivova pursued a lawsuit against Sytch, her then-engaged partner James Pente and Geico Insurance. In July of 2023, she updated the lawsuit, limiting the defendant in the case to Geico Insurance alone. Olivova’s claim was exceeding ,000 in damages, and was scheduled to proceed on trial on July 8th in front of the Circuit Court of Volusia County, Florida.
It’s worth noting that Sytch is still on the defensive with respect to a wrongful death lawsuit, brought forward by the family of Julian Lasseter who tragically lost his life in the accident. The trial for this case has been slated to commence on October 2nd.
