Seth Rollins: ‘I Am Trying To Save Drew McIntyre’

This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW featured an exclusive interview with Seth Rollins. The Monday Night Messiah discussed his upcoming WWE Championship match with Drew McIntyre. Rollins first praised McIntyre. “Drew is a dominant champion,” said Rollins. “He’s a fighter, he’s a warrior, he is an honorable man.”
But then Rollins discussed why he must defeat McIntyre. “He is not a leader,” said Rollins. “And it is not his destiny to be the champion that takes us into the future. It is mine.”

Rollins said he’s willing to carry the burden of being the champion. ‘”I am willing to sacrifice myself for the greater good that is my destiny,” said Rollins. “Drew is not ready for the pain, and the suffering, and the agony and the despair that comes with being a champion.”
Rollins then repeated that he’s trying to help McIntyre. “I am not trying to crush Drew’s dreams,” said Rollins. “I am trying to unburden him, to take the weight off of his shoulders.”
Finally, Rollins delivered the heart of his message. “I am trying to save Drew McIntyre,” said Rollins.
