Conor McGregor would need a part-time schedule akin to Roman Reigns if he joined WWE, according to Seth Rollins.

On last week’s episode of WWE RAW, Michael Chandler called out McGregor, who has been out of action since 2021, in the latest example of a crossover between UFC and WWE.

On a recent edition of the “Submission Radio” podcast, Rollins shared his thoughts on the Notorious One joining WWE. He said,

“Never say never, but he would have to be on a Roman Reigns-like schedule. He’d be showing up every 6 months to have a match. He’d be on that Logan Paul contract. I don’t know that doing what I do would be for Conor McGregor.

“It’s tough dude. It is a difficult transition to make. So if he would want to give it a shot, we’d love to have him, but I don’t know, man. I couldn’t jump into their world and do what they do, so I would not expect them to be able to do the same with us.”

A former UFC Champion, McGregor has often been rumored to join WWE but despite teasing it, has yet to appear for the promotion.

Conor McGregor’s Potential WWE Career: A Part-Time Schedule Like Roman Reigns?

The worlds of professional wrestling and mixed martial arts have often intersected, with fighters like Ronda Rousey and Cain Velasquez making successful transitions to the world of WWE. One name that has been frequently mentioned in relation to a potential WWE career is Conor McGregor, the former UFC champion known for his brash personality and fighting skills. However, according to Seth Rollins, if McGregor were to join WWE, he would need to adopt a part-time schedule similar to that of Roman Reigns.

During a recent episode of WWE RAW, Michael Chandler, a UFC fighter, called out McGregor, reigniting the speculation about a crossover between the two combat sports. This prompted Rollins to share his thoughts on the possibility of McGregor joining WWE during an appearance on the “Submission Radio” podcast.

Rollins expressed that while he wouldn’t rule out the possibility entirely, McGregor would have to adjust to a part-time schedule, much like Reigns. This would mean appearing for matches only every six months, similar to the arrangement Logan Paul has with WWE. Rollins acknowledged that transitioning from MMA to professional wrestling is challenging and that McGregor might not find it suitable for his style.

“It’s tough, dude. It is a difficult transition to make. So if he would want to give it a shot, we’d love to have him, but I don’t know, man. I couldn’t jump into their world and do what they do, so I would not expect them to be able to do the same with us,” Rollins said.

McGregor has long been rumored to join WWE, often teasing fans with the possibility. However, despite the speculation, he has yet to make an appearance for the promotion. With his larger-than-life personality and ability to generate attention, McGregor’s presence in WWE could undoubtedly create buzz and attract new viewers.

The idea of McGregor stepping into the world of professional wrestling is intriguing. Known for his charisma and trash-talking skills, he possesses the qualities that could make him a compelling character in WWE. However, the physical demands and storytelling aspects of professional wrestling differ significantly from those of MMA. McGregor would need to adapt his fighting style and learn the intricacies of the scripted nature of wrestling matches.

While it remains uncertain whether McGregor will ever make the leap to WWE, the possibility continues to generate excitement among fans. The crossover between UFC and WWE has proven successful in the past, with fighters like Rousey and Velasquez making memorable appearances. McGregor’s star power and ability to captivate audiences could potentially elevate WWE’s already impressive roster.

Only time will tell if Conor McGregor will ever step foot inside a WWE ring. Until then, fans can only speculate and imagine the possibilities of what a McGregor-WWE collaboration could bring. Whether it’s a one-time appearance or a more extended stint, the addition of McGregor to WWE would undoubtedly be a significant moment in the history of both combat sports.
