In a recent video posted on his YouTube channel, Maven made it clear that the results of wrestling matches had no impact on his earnings and never interfered with his psychology. He stated,

“This never fails to amuse me. There are fans who have approach me in the past saying, ‘Sure, I’ve seen you wrestle, and in the match I observed, you were defeated.’ It’s as if I care. Every time they remark, ‘I noticed you lose,’ I rectify it. ‘No, you saw me earning my wages.’”

Maven continued, “Al Snow owned the finest shirt, ‘Pin me. Pay me.’ In order for a hero to exist, a villain needs to be in place. Similarly, a good guy needs a bad guy to reflect upon. And of course, a winner necessitates a loser’s existence. If the wrestlers are both main event contenders, there’s no way that the winner would earn more than the one who lost. For this reason, this myth is not true. It’s a falsity.”
