Wrestling legend Sean Waltman, popularly known as X-Pac, has successfully regained possession of his Twitter account and confessed to being tricked by a phishing scheme sent to him via Twitter direct messages.

Over the past few days, Waltman’s account sent out an array of peculiar messages, some even promoting a cryptocurrency tagged $WALTMAN. Such activity led followers to speculate a possible hacking.

However, Waltman clarified that he was not hacked but rather, unsuspectingly fell for a fabricated narrative that came through his DMs.

In a tweet, Waltman stated, “I have control of my account back. I wish I could say I was hacked, but I fell for a scam in my DMs saying I had copyright claims against my account.” — Sean Waltman (@TheRealXPac) June 8, 2024.

Famously known for his roles in DX and the New World Order, Waltman was honored with inclusion into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, first in 2019 and then in 2021 (as part of the 2020 class).
