Wrestling enthusiasts continue to harbor resentment towards Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman for betraying Kane, even after over two decades since the notorious incident involving the two-time entry into the Hall of Fame. A pivotal change came to pass when Waltman, who had been assisting Kane to deal with his painful history, decided to turn against him during the October 28, 1999 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Despite the drama, the WWE opted not to include Waltman’s treachery against Kane in its recent release of the top 30 heel turns. Not one to stay silent, Waltman took to social media platform Twitter to express his surprise at the situation, pointing out that his 1999 turn still upsets a significant number of fans.

In a tweet, Waltman mentioned, “There are a surprisingly large number of people still pissed at me for turning on Kane. Even knowing it’s all a show, they still can’t help being mad about that”.

Having made substantial contributions to wrestling narratives in DX and the nWo, Waltman earned his place in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019 and again in 2021 (representing the class of 2020).

Kane, on the other hand, made it to the Hall of Fame in 2021, representing the same class year. Presently, he holds a political role as the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.
