Scotty Campbell resigned from his position in the Tennessee General Assembly this past April, where he previously served as the Vice Chairman of the House Republican Caucus, NewsChannel 5 reports.

For those unaware, Campbell is also the promoter for the independent wrestling promotion ‘Besides the Ring’ from Mountain City, TN.

The resignation occurred just hours after Campbell was found guilty of sexual harassment of interns by an ethics subcommittee.

One intern was reportedly protected by the expenditure of “potentially thousands of dollars,” including relocating her from an apartment building where she and Campbell both had apartments to a downtown hotel for the remainder of her internship including shipping her furniture back to her home in another part of Tennessee.

Officials in the legislature refused to reveal how much had been paid out, citing it as confidential.

Campbell reportedly suffered no negative consequences from the legislature following the ethics investigation, and his wrestling connection wasn’t reported at the time.

Campbell had also voted to expel three of their Democrat colleagues for partaking in a demonstration against gun violence.

GLASGOW WRESTLING PAYS HOMAGE TO WWE FOLLOWING SPLIT

ICW’s next show will celebrate the company’s new independence

08/05/2023

Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) is set to make a triumphant return this weekend at The Garage nightclub in Glasgow with their latest show, Get The F Out. The event will celebrate the company’s newfound independence in the wrestling industry following their departure from WWE Network earlier this year, and is set to feature some of the most exciting matches in ICW history.

ICW owner Mark Dallas said, “We wanted to have a bit of fun with the name of our latest show.”

“It’s a nod to the WWE campaign from the early 2000s, which marked a new era for them. Similarly, ICW is now entering a new era after leaving WWE Network, and we’re excited to move forward and give our fans the kind of content they want to see, without any restrictions.”

ICW is now exclusively available on FITE+, joining an ever-growing array of live and on demand content from some of the most exciting pro-wrestling and combat sports providers.

One of the key matches this weekend will be the King of Insanity match between Jack Jester – also star of BBC Scotland’s The Scotts – and Theo Doros. The self-proclaimed Wrestling God, Doros, has added his own rules to every match in ICW, but owner Mark Dallas has a plan to take the company back to its old ways. If Doros wins his match, he will receive a shot at both the ICW Zero-G and World Heavyweight Championships, but if he loses, the rules will be gone from ICW. He will face the undisputed icon of ICW, Jack Jester, in a brutal King of Insanity match. Will Jester bring chaos back to ICW or will Doros become the new King Of Insanity?

UFC fighter Paul Craig is set to make his tag team debut in the promotion when he teams up with Bellator MMA fighter Chris Bungard to challenge for the ICW Tag Team Titles. Craig had earlier entered the Square Go 30-person elimination match in January, but this will be his first official tag match in the promotion. Fans are eagerly anticipating what the duo will bring to the ring and how they will fare against the current champions, KOE. The upcoming match is sure to be an exciting addition to the already stacked card.

Another exciting match is the World Title Match between Leyton Buzzard, Big Damo, and Andy Roberts. Buzzard’s globe-trotting title reign as ICW World Heavyweight Champion has seen him come up against challengers of all shapes and sizes. However, on May 14th, he will face his biggest obstacle so far as he takes on both Big Damo and Andy Roberts in a Three Way Dance.

Limited tickets for Get The F Out are still available at universe.com/icw. Don’t miss your chance to witness history in the making as the stars of Insane Championship Wrestling battle it out in Glasgow.

Fans can also stream the show live as part of a FITE+ subscription
