Scott D’Amore Would ‘Love’ To Have AEW Women’s Wrestlers Work In IMPACT, Praises Tony Khan

All Elite Wrestling has broken down the forbidden door, as it has collaborated with IMPACT Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, among other promotions, in recent months. Naturally, fans continue to dream of a contests between the promotions’ top stars. A clash between AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and IMPACT Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo remains one of the most buzzworthy possibilities, and in a recent appearance on “Excuse Me: The Vickie Guerrero Show”, IMPACT Wrestling Executive Vice President of Scott D’Amore made it clear that he’d like to see this match happen.

“I get it tweeted at me and everything all the time, and all I can say is, from our perspective, look, I got cornered by Britt Baker down there in Jacksonville a few weeks ago, and she’s like, ‘When do I get [to face] Deonna?'” said D’Amore. “And I said, ‘Hey Britt, like, come on.’ We’ve always said we have an open door policy, and [we are] open to doing it.

D’Amore noted how any number of obstacles can get in the way of interpromotional matches in wrestling, but IMPACT Wrestling’s relationship with AEW makes these scenarios more possible. He also praised AEW GM Tony Khan as a business partner.

“You know the deal in wrestling, sometimes there’s a lot of hurdles to jump through, but I think the relationship with AEW has been fantastic,” said D’Amore. “I think that Tony Khan is a breath of fresh air in many ways in the wrestling industry. And it’s just been great to deal with a person who’s in a different company, competitors, whatever you want to classify it, but there’s honesty and transparency.

“And it’s like hey, let’s do that. You know why? Because that’s cool. And we share a vision for a world like that and I’d love to see it, I mean, whether it’s Britt or whether it’s Nyla Rose or whether it’s some of the so many other great talent that you have there, I’d love to see it.”
