“This was first formulated early in 2023. The circle kept expanding as the year went on about who was inside that circle and in the know. I remember having this conversation earlier in the year and saying, ‘it’s a miracle if we see spring without this getting out.’ The fact that it was kept under wraps until that night, to me, is truly special. It’s a testament to the individuals we have in this company, on camera and behind the scenes. It meant a lot to everybody to create that special moment.”

D’Amore also confirmed that new title designs will be part of the rebrand.

“We have all new championship belts. I know people have talked about returning to this design or that design, there are some amazing designs. The belts will continue to evolve and change, but we felt it was important that, we’re TNA Wrestling, but we’re still moving forward. We have all new championship belts and those will be revealed as we lead up to Hard to Kill. One of the things to address is, all the current IMPACT Champions and that lineage will continue. We’re not crowning new champions. Fans will be excited to see the belts. We wanted to give them something new and something we push forward with into a new era,” he said.

TNA Wrestling, now known as Impact Wrestling, is set to make its return on January 13, 2024, at TNA Hard To Kill. The announcement was made by Scott D’Amore, the President of Impact Wrestling, during the Bound For Glory event.

D’Amore revealed that the plan for the return of TNA Wrestling was formulated early in 2023. He expressed his surprise and appreciation that the news was kept under wraps until the night of the announcement. This secrecy was a testament to the dedication and professionalism of the individuals involved in the company, both on camera and behind the scenes.

One exciting aspect of the TNA Wrestling return is the introduction of new title designs. D’Amore confirmed that all new championship belts will be part of the rebrand. While there have been discussions about returning to previous designs, the company decided to move forward with fresh and innovative designs that represent the new era of TNA Wrestling. The new championship belts will be revealed leading up to the Hard to Kill event.

It is important to note that despite the rebrand and introduction of new title designs, the current Impact Champions and their lineage will continue. The company will not be crowning new champions but will instead carry forward the existing champions and their legacies. This decision aims to maintain continuity and honor the history of Impact Wrestling while embracing the changes and advancements of TNA Wrestling.
