In a recent interview with CBC in Canada, Scott D’Amore presented some insights regarding the revitalization of his Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling promotion.
Previously as documented on eWn, D’Amore had marked October 19th and 20th as the dates for the promotion’s inaugural events.
Below are some noteworthy excerpts from the conversation:
Discussing his experiences as a youngster following Maple Leaf Wrestling, D’Amore mentioned, “It was what came through on Saturdays on CHCH out of Hamilton. They’d feature a match from one of the house shows at the Maple Leaf Gardens as live events and broadcast it on TV. Maple Leaf Wrestling was the only place you got to witness that”.
Talking about the initiation of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, he said, “Canadian talent has to put in double, even triple effort compared to U.S. talent … I believe we can provide that platform for Canadian talent to go out there, compete with the best across the globe and exhibit their prowess”.
