TNA Wrestling, the original name of Impact Wrestling before the company rebranded in 2017, will make its return on January 13, 2024, at TNA Hard To Kill, as announced by Scott D’Amore at Bound For Glory.

The Impact exec discussed the process during a media scrum on Tuesday.

“This was first formulated early in 2023. The circle kept expanding as the year went on about who was inside that circle and in the know. I remember having this conversation earlier in the year and saying, ‘it’s a miracle if we see spring without this getting out.’ The fact that it was kept under wraps until that night, to me, is truly special. It’s a testament to the individuals we have in this company, on camera and behind the scenes. It meant a lot to everybody to create that special moment,” he said.

D’Amore also confirmed that new title designs will be part of the rebrand.

“We have all new championship belts. I know people have talked about returning to this design or that design, there are some amazing designs. The belts will continue to evolve and change, but we felt it was important that, we’re TNA Wrestling, but we’re still moving forward. We have all new championship belts and those will be revealed as we lead up to Hard to Kill. One of the things to address is, all the current IMPACT Champions and that lineage will continue. We’re not crowning new champions. Fans will be excited to see the belts. We wanted to give them something new and something we push forward with into a new era,” he said.

TNA Wrestling, now known as Impact Wrestling, is set to make its return on January 13, 2024, at TNA Hard To Kill. This exciting announcement was made by Scott D’Amore, the executive of Impact Wrestling, during the Bound For Glory event.

D’Amore revealed some details about the process and the efforts made to keep the news under wraps. He mentioned that the idea was first formulated in early 2023 and that the circle of people involved in the project kept expanding throughout the year. D’Amore expressed his surprise and appreciation that the news remained a secret until the night of the announcement. He attributed this achievement to the dedication and professionalism of the individuals working both on camera and behind the scenes at Impact Wrestling.

One of the significant changes that will come with the rebrand is the introduction of new title designs. D’Amore confirmed that all new championship belts have been created for this new era of TNA Wrestling. While there have been discussions about returning to previous designs, the decision was made to move forward and create something fresh. The new championship belts will be revealed gradually leading up to the Hard to Kill event. It is important to note that the current IMPACT Champions and their lineage will continue, so there will be no new champions crowned.
