Sasha Banks Reportedly Scheduled To Be At Tonight’s SmackDown Taping
It looks like Sasha Banks is back on the road.
According to a report from PWInsider.com, Banks is scheduled to be at tonight’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Glendale, Arizona.
While the report doesn’t confirm she is appearing on TV, this would mark the first time in several weeks that Banks has been at a WWE TV taping as she has been sidelined with a reported ankle injury. Fightful first reported Banks’ injury in January as reason for her absence in the Royal Rumble, with PWInsider noting the injury is why her planned matches against Lacey Evans were canceled.
Banks has made a few appearances on SmackDown this year, but she hasn’t wrestled in nearly two months. Her last match was a tag team match on January 3.
Despite her absence, Banks has stayed busy and in the eyes of WWE fans. She reportedly filmed scenes for season two of The Mandalorian on Disney+ and appeared in a Pizza Hut commercial during the Super Bowl. Banks also made a guest appearance on Corey Graves’ After The Bell podcast where she did address an ankle injury, but played into her storyline with Lacey Evans and claimed Evans was responsible and should wouldn’t return until she was “125%”.
