Sasha Banks Defeats Carmella, Retains SmackDown Women’s Title At WWE TLC

Sasha Banks defended the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Carmella at WWE TLC. Carmella defeated Banks in a title match via disqualification two weeks ago on WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
Carmella avoided Banks early on to play mind games with the champion. But the challenger used Banks’ aggression against her to briefly gain an advantage. Banks regained control, but Carmella slapped her in the face. Banks threw Carmella out of the ring, but her sommelier caught her. Carmella drove Banks into the steel steps and grounded the champion in the ring. Banks rallied and hit the Three Amigos.

She then hit a Frog Splash for a two count. Carmella nearly won the match with a face-buster. She screamed with frustration when Banks reached the ropes to avoid losing the match. Banks drove Carmella face-first into a turnbuckle. Banks nearly stole the win when she turned a hurricanrana into a pin attempt.

Banks countered the Code of Silence. Reginad, Carmella’s sommelier, saved the challenger from the Banks Statement. Carmella capitalized by rocking Banks with a kick to the head. She got frustrated again, and Banks used it against her by as she locked in the Banks Statement for the win.
