During a recent guest stint on the podcast “Busted Open Radio”, ex-AEW wrestler and former Women’s World Champion, Saraya expressed her initial intention to pass along her championship belt to Toni Storm. She candidly stated,
“I wish I could have passed the title on to Toni in California, which was a heartfelt desire of mine. I believed it to be a great move considering her rapid growth as a babyface. In fact, in my opinion, she was and still is the leading babyface in the company. The only thing I wished could have transpired differently was that specific instance where I wanted to relinquish the title, and I hoped to give it to Toni. Regardless, I’m happy that she received it. I don’t have any complaints about it.”
In related news from the AEW universe, wrestler Ricochet recently tied the knot with Samantha Irvin. This development induced a humorous reaction from his on-air adversary, Swerve Strickland, who humorously hinted at his missed opportunity of crashing the wedding via a post on social media.
Strickland expressed that implying such mischief would have transpired had he not been engaged with Jon Moxley.
As it goes, Strickland is set to face Moxley for the coveted AEW World Championship title at AEW Dynasty 2025 on the 6th of April at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Liacouras Center.
Swerve Strickland tweeted: If I hadn’t been tied up dealing with Moxley last night, I would’ve absolutely crashed this.
