This week, British pro-wrestler Drew McIntyre has disclosed how he saved Saraya, a fellow wrestler, from a dangerous individual during her childhood.
Through a post on her Twitter account, Saraya made public McIntyre’s act of rescuing her from harmful circumstances during her teen years — an event she discusses in greater depth in her biography.
For clarification @DMcIntyreWWE helped rescue me from a not-so-kind person when I was just 14. He’s more than just a noteworthy human being; he’s an extraordinary friend too.

Before joining WWE, both Saraya and McIntyre made names for themselves in the wrestling scene of Europe and the UK.
In the wake of Saraya’s autobiography, ‘Hell in Boots,’ going live, McIntyre shared his insight and critique.
“From seeing her begin this journey as a teenager in the British wrestling scene to where she is today, I’m so proud to see not just the wrestler, but the woman Raya has become… Truth is the wrestling is the easy part. It’s homesickness, trying to learn how to be an adult and the setbacks that life throws at you that is the real challenge. Raya has faced moments that almost broke her and would break any normal person, thankfully she is no normal person.”
Last gracing the AEW stage back in October 2024, Saraya has remained out of sight. Meanwhile, McIntyre is locked in a dispute with fellow wrestler Damian Priest, with a clash between the pair expected in the upcoming WrestleMania 41 event.
