Santino Marella made his debut as Impact Wrestling’s newest authority figure at the Hard To Kill pay-per-view event on January 13th. Marella replaced Scott D’Amore, who is currently on the shelf following his beatdown at the hands of Bully Ray ahead of the event.
Marella’s daughter, Arianna Grace, participated in several beauty pageant contests and wrestled for independent promotions before signing with WWE NXT in April 2022.
On “The Dave Van Auken Show,” Marella praised Grace and predicted big things for her in the future. He said,
“Two, three years from now she’s going to be a top dog in the division… [Charlotte Flair] came up to me and goes, ‘I love your daughter, I love what she’s doing, we watch her.’”
“When I go to AEW or Impact or WWE, everyone is always just commenting on my daughter and how she’s doing and that they watch her. There’s a lot of focus on her. Everyone’s keeping an eye [on her], because everyone knows what she’s capable of, so it’s good man. It’s all about her now.”
Arianna’s push was derailed following a torn ACL for which she had to undergo surgery. Earlier this month, the young second-generation talent announced that she is recovering well and fast.
