Samoa Joe Witnesses Karrion Kross Attack William Regal
Samoa Joe steamed all night waiting to confront Karrion Kross on NXT and finally got that opportunity to close the show. The program started with Joe coming out to the ring to express his anger against the NXT Champion, but William Regal followed his enforcer to settle him down. Regal told Joe that action in the ring is not what he hired Joe for, but Joe made clear the “unless provoked” caveat. Joe noted that Kross was uncontrollable as was indicated with his RAW appearance on Mondayy. William assured Joe that Kross would be arriving later in the evening and Joe sure played the waiting game only to be tricked. Joe came out to the ring to call Kross out once more, but Karrion appeared on screen instead. He told Joe that his NXT gold wields a lot of power which including attacking anyone he once. The camera pans down to reveal a KO’ed William Regal in the parking lot. Irate, Joe gives chase out of the CWC to close the show.
Raquel Gonzalez Retains Against Xia Li
Raquel Gonzalez had yet to encounter any style like Xia Li’s before the 7/20 episode of NXT, but the Women’s Champion still managed to come out with the victory. Li showed her ruthlessness by wrapping Raquel’s right knee repeatedly against the ring post. This became a major focus in the match, but all that changed when Xia Li was downed by Raquel with a rotating Vader bomb on the ribs. The medical team came to check on Li and when it was ruled she was okay to go, Gonzalez immediately hit her powerbomb for the 1-2-3.
