Samoa Joe didn’t come to the August 24 episode of WWE NXT to celebrate. The new NXT Champion came to rule as king in the land of savages, and one of them happened to be “The Bruiserweight”.

Pete Dunne, who brawled with Tommaso Ciampa earlier in the evening, answered Samoa Joe’s call to the locker room stating that “he doesn’t care how many times [Joe] held that title.” He demanded Joe to go back to William Regal and make the match, but LA Knight had other ideas. The former Million Dollar Champion stated that it was “Knight time.” He told Joe if he had enough “tingle in his loins”, he’d make him his first opponent.

Dunne didn’t like that idea, and apparently neither did Kyle O’Reilly, who was the next to answer the call. He took some digs at LA Knight’s “knock-off” Steve Austin vest, but right after he did, Ridge Holland attacked KOR from behind. The assault prompted Ciampa to rush in to attack Dunne until Holland hit him with a nasty headbutt. Joe did the same and laid out LA Knight, so he and Ciampa stared down Holland and Dunne to close out the segment.

I’m excited. And also (very) frightened for this era!!! #WWENXT https://t.co/UZ0dt4PJ8n
