NXT Champion Samoa Joe has had a crazy few months as he went from calling WrestleMania in the rain to being a free agent to now being the current NXT Champion. He recently sat down with ViBe & Wrestling to talk about a variety of topics. Check out the highlights below.
On dream matches now being realistic possibilities:
At this point there are no dream matches, all of the are reality matches. If you talk about Ciampa, Ciampa is right here, he is ready; if you talk about Pete Dunne, he is ready; WALTER, he is ready; Roderick Strong, he is ready… Let’s stop dream match talking. Dream match is something that is not gonna happen but all these are gonna go down, it’s inevitable with the level of competition on NXT. The guys want to prove themselves.
On major differences between his two NXT runs:
Yes, the first one is that we are not doing too many shows for obvious reasons so I am a little less active. Obviously I would love to be more active if safety permits it and also there many… completely different faces. Even in my first run on NXT there were a lot of familiar faces and now there’s a lot of people that I don’t have any experience with, the majority of the roster; little bit younger, little bit newer, just kind of coming into their own so it is kind of new environment for me.
