Sammy Guevara and Matt Hardy settled their differences in a tables match this evening to close out AEW Dynamite. It was a brief but brutal contest, with both men taking several weapons shots they won’t soon forget. The Multifarious One was in his original Team Extreme persona, but not even the energy of the Attitude Era could propel him to victory. Instead, after going to the top rope to superplex Sammy into a specially made “Deleted” table, Guevara countered the move and propelled Hardy through it, winning the match.

As the show went off the air, Orange Cassidy appeared out of nowhere and attacked Chris Jericho in the announcer’s booth, where he’d been the entire night. It’s a more aggressive side than we often see from Orange, who is enraged after last week’s beating. Will he be able to take this momentum into the Mimosa Mayhem match at All Out? The world will know in just over a week.
